Services A town must offer essential services such as healthcare facilities, educational institutions (primary and secondary schools), and public safety services (police and fire departments). A town must have a local government body responsible for the administration and management of the area.
Section 4: Criteria for Village Classification Population Size A village must have a population of less than 200 residents. Infrastructure A village may have basic infrastructure, including local roads, access to utilities (electricity, water, sewage systems), and limited public transportation. Services A village may have limited essential services such as a primary healthcare facility, a primary school, and basic public safety services. A village may have a local council or community organization responsible for the administration and management of the area.
Section 5: Designation Process Application for Designation Communities seeking official designation as a town or village must submit an application to the national government. Applications must include evidence of meeting the specified criteria for the desired designation. Review and Approval The national government shall review applications and conduct on-site inspections to verify compliance with the criteria. Approved applications shall be granted official designation, and the community shall be listed in the national registry of towns and villages.
